Design stages and checks

An insert passes through three related designs: storage space inside the game box, finished panels and joints, and paths for the laser. A dimension that works at one stage may fail at the next. These articles show how BGI makes and checks each decision.

Choose the question that matches your next decision:

QuestionRead
Why did BGI choose this compartment size, or why did it find no layout?Storage requirements and search
Which walls are real parts, how are they joined, and can they be assembled?Construction, joints, and assembly
Why do the laser’s cutting lines differ from part dimensions, and how are sheets and output files made?Contours, sheets, and bundle

To trace a particular design decision, compare the search report with the suggested layout and the finished bundle’s manifest.json with its previews. If calculated storage sizes are surprising, use the requirements command to inspect them. The Full example walks through a build; the project file reference lists its inputs. Keep the glossary nearby for terms such as clear dimensions, candidate, and kerf.
